Since I play on a macbook, I haven't been able to download and enter TW pub for 2 years. Finally, it randomly started working, and now I'm able to play and idle in pub. It's been just one week since I've been able to enter pub, and since then I've seen 10-20 veteran players pop in and out, just to see what's going on. Players who I personally haven't seen in YEARS.
Most of these guys don't know what's going on in modern-day TW and don't have the motivation to find out. If there was a way to reach out and notify these players as soon as they log on with a welcome message, maybe with some updates on how active TW is and whatnot, maybe we can get them hooked again. Something like "Did you play in 2002? See who else is still around here! <link>" with a link to a list of active players or something.
Sadly, the days where this game could appeal to the masses are in the past, so the best way to increase the current population is to reach out to older players who have quit. Just an idea...1:Best> pressure starts lecturing that pussy

Mayb because tws doesn't really change much, only good features have been added/ removed, then added again. For newbie squads- its rare that they will win a game in twd because the same old players are just too good to contend with. Only way to increase the fun is if several people created several squads + recruited total newbies each day for months (to build a roster) and vs'd the other newb squads and pray that they enjoy things enough to stick to this game.
Dream:
If several newb squads existed- (during twl) they should run a competition similar to twl but only for these newbie squads (excluding the other pro squads) so that they can get a chance to win a medal or some kind. The winners/runners up will see that twl is alot tougher and will eventually try and have a bash at twl instead of there own "newbie" league.Last edited by Fork; 01-23-2013 at 06:27 PM.
